The Last Train to Dachau ReviewI am also privileged to be a friend of Bob's--a former co-worker and erstwhile deskmate. Bob has written a story of incredible courage WITH incredible courage--not all war survivors are willing to tell their stories to close family members, much less able to allow one of them to write their story for the world to see. I applaud Bob's mother especially for giving this gift of history to her son. That Bob, an amateur author, was able to put together such a complex, moving, and yes, exciting historical novel is an accomplishment most non-writers can barely fathom.
You are swept up in the events of Bob's family and one's jaw continues to drop as the excruciating humiliations of war, the grinding stress, and the unbelievable Nazi plan areinevitably played out. The title of the book, once one reaches the final scenes at the end, will send shivers down your spine long after the reading of this family's journey is finished.The Last Train to Dachau Overview
