The Rough Guide to Copenhagen 4 ReviewI really liked this guide for reading ahead before I went to Copenhagen. Of the three books I got, this was the best for this purpose. (The other two were Frommer's Copenhagen Day by Day, and Lonely Planet Copenhagen Encounter.)
As is typical of Rough Guides, the pictures here are nothing special, nor are the maps. The printing is generally two color -- black and orange on white non-glossy paper -- but there are some glossy color pages and a few nice pictures included.
Among the things I like about the Rough Guides are all the background information, and I'm glad I bought this book for that. I brought it to Copenhagen with me, but seldom referred to it for our quick trip. Instead, I liked the Frommer's for that (which had its information organized in little tidbits). I didn't much like the little Lonely Planet book I bought and left that at home.
Copenhagen is a fairly small city and fairly walkable, though it was raining quite a bit when I was there. Note that although the books contain subway maps with six lines, only the M1 and M2 (green and yellow on most maps I've seen) are operational as of August 2010... the others are planned. I think I read somewhere that they are not due to be completed until 2018.The Rough Guide to Copenhagen 4 Overview"The Rough Guide to Copenhagen" is the ultimate travel guide to this vibrant capital, with clear maps and detailed coverage of all the best attractions.
