No Remorse: The Rise and Fall of the Killer John Wallace ReviewNO REMORSE: The Rise and Fall of John Wallace was a very interesting read. John Wallace murdered William Turner and was sent to the electric chair. Making and selling moonshine whiskey played a part in the murder of Mr. Turner.
Many nights I sat on my grandfather's knee listening to him talk to my grandmother about many of the characters - some lived within twenty miles of his home. When I was real small, I visited the home of psychic, Mahaley Lancaster many times with my grandfather, who also made moonshine and I'd ride with him to deliver a load of whiskey in the back of his truck to Mahaley for her customers. I always dreaded those visits. She was a scary sight with tattered Army cap and her sister would raise up from a nearby cot, mumbling and staring at us. Once Mahaley grabbed my hand and after the read, she said I'd be a movie star one day (wrote about this in my book, UNHEARD CRIES). I begged my grandfather to let one of my siblings go on these type trips but he refused, left them at the grocery store to work and to collect kindling.
